My Getaway. :D

Another bday celebration! Ah Ken's bday! There were like 22 people in total for dinner and 99% of them are from Hong Kong...i feel so out of place....i seriously need to brush up on my canto. Had yummy food at cyber city, our permanent place for bday celebrations and good food! Ken's face is soooo red....oh well its his bday so he should get drunk... Happy Birthday Ken!

On a lighter note, 9 more days to exams and 20 days to home!

At 2am, 4 monkeys decided to surprise 1 idiot who is celebrating her bday on 27th Oct (fri), but Jan will not be around so we decided to celebrate it earlier. Right after our super long formal dinner, Jan & i made a Mars Bar Cheesecake for Jojo...Jess did help by taking pics and lining the baking tray...hahaha...Not forgetting, i bled for Jo! I cut myself with the knife...hahaha

We, the 4 monkeys bought Jojo a receipe book for desserts and a Simpsons game. Jo, we expect you to play the game with us and you better bake some stuff for us from the book!

Its our last formal dinner! Woohoo! Took us almost 4 hours for dinner...yummy food plus the great companion, it was just goooood! We took pictures like there is no tomorrow...haha but it was fun! I was given a graduation certificate since there will not be a graduating dinner next semster. Words cannot describe how i felt but i am kinda happy that i'm going to finish uni next semester! Cannot wait!

I got a scolding from Elicia for not blogging about what the girls gave me for my birthday. I was busy ma!!! Okay now i shall blog about it.

Elicia, Wan Rou, Anilia and Shu Jun sent me a parcel with clothes in it! They happen to be those that i liked...what a coincidence right! Hahahahaha...anyway told them not to send it over cause its expenseive but they just wouldn't listen. So, the whole parcel has like God knows how many stamps over it...i keep the parcel k...i did not throw! Will wear the clothes back in singapore k...i will bring them back...i have more chance of wearing them there...the weather here is crazy. It can be warm and cold the next minute...

What makes you think of home when you are in a far far away land? The food? Your family and friends? Definitely everyone miss them...i know i do.

Have you ever thought of other things that u miss about home, in a subtle way? I miss standing at my balcony enjoying the breeze. During mid autumn, i will stand at my balcony looking down on many kids carrying their lanterns and playing with sparkles and candles along the canal. I miss the sound of the national anthemn playing in the school near my place. I miss the noise in the wet markets, where all the aunties will go "cheaper lah...".

I never really appreciate the little things in life and back home till i lose it. Well, not really losing it, but i'm far from home so i do miss it.

I love Singapore!

My neighbour is a blessing in disguise. She spent a a good whole 30 to 45 mins in the bathroom. At first, i have no idea what she was doing in there, okay maybe taking a relaxing shower, but i hear scrubbing noises. I was having a bursting bladder at that time so i can't pee, so i had to use Jo's bathroom instead.

Finally when my neighbour was done, the bathroom was spick and span! She must have cleaned the bathroom! Who cleans the bathroom when there are cleaners coming to clean it once a week...my neighbour! Okay seriously, the cleaners don't really do a good job anyway. When they come to our rooms, they will dust the blinds, wipe out table and vacuum our floors. BUT, the floor will never look like its been vacuum anyway. My neighbour cooks barley, green bean soup, apple soup and whatever stuff you can ever think of is "cooling" and healthy. I remember when i was sick, she cooked me stuff everyday.

I really appreciate what she is doing. Thank You!

*ps: Jo, if you are reading this, i expect the same treatment from you next sem since we are going to be neighbours and don't expect me to clean anything for you...hahahahaha

This seems to be a very busy period for everyone. People are either busy with their assignments, studying for the exams or even with work. 2 more weeks and its exams...peeps back home are struggling with their work.

My darling Ellenmae, your tests and projects are piling up, work hard and you will gain in the future! Ah yee is proud of you! Study hard!

Lastly for everyone, work hard and take a break along the way...life is full of ups and downs but we will be a better person as long as we can overcome any problems!

Finally! I have a picture of Ellenmae's dog...its called Parco...if i'm not wrong its like only 8 or 9 weeks old. It drinks full cream milk...if you give water, it will just put its paws in the dish...what a good life this dog has...hahahaha

Happy Birthday Sis! Haven't been celebrating our birthdays together for quite some time already and i miss it! You never fail to take care of me when i was little, even now too...u will always back me up when mum or dad nags at me...being the eldest you always pay when we go out...hahahaha...there are lots and lots of things that i can thank you for but i am very blessed to have such a wonderful sister like you! Eventhough we have quite a gap between us, but we are always close...we can talk about anything under the sun...thank you for being you! I love you!!! Cannot wait to see you soon!!

Yes people...its my terrible looking knees...i predict that there will be lots of comments on how bad it looks...thank you very much! I love catching!

Mid Autumn Celebrations was so much fun! We had mooncakes from Singapore's Raffles Hotel and here. All were so yummy! First, Jul, jess & i went to Leona's place for a small get together. Her house looks really cosy...like a little hut. We all sat on her porch had mooncakes, chat, enjoyed the moon and cocktails that Leona and gang made.

Next stop was Evey's place and we all went to a playground Guyatt Park to play more lantern, candles, sparkles and catching!! Yes catching! The most exciting thing that happened to me for the day was....I FELL! Hahaha...now i has bruised knees and my left knee is swollen...hahaha...not complaining...i love catching!

Lighted the whole playground with candles and lanterns and it was so pretty! Most of us were trying to invert ourselves on the monkey bars where David and Mabel were so well at...i was like a terrified person on a super scary roller coaster ride...played with other stuff at the playground as well...we all relived our childhood...so much fun!

Heading over to Leona's and Eve's place for some small celebration...not really a celebration but more of a get together...shall look at the moon and recite chinese poems...hahahaha...not forgetting mooncakes! Miss how you will see chinese garden is packed with millions of people especially kids carrying lanterns...electronic ones that plays music or the traditonal candle lanterns...also along the canel at my place, you can see so many kids lighting up candles on the sidewalk and sparkles...including lanterns as well...

When family is not here...the most important people will be friends. Great to spend time with them...as time goes by, we become so close that our friends become our family too....i thank God for blessing me with such wonderful friends...may it be here in Brissie or back home!

I have to emphasize on this...i'll be home in less than 2 months! Singapore here i come!

I have the sudden craving for Tim Tams...damn! I'm always thinking about food. Went to thee gym today with Jo and Jul...feeling kinda tired now...but still thinking about food when i had like dinner and dumpling with Janice...hahaha

The weather is getting warmer, the sun is scorching, days are longer, baby duckling are everywhere and purple flowers are blooming everywhere. Spring is here...well almost...

This also means that i have only 3 more weeks in uni and its a week of study then exams, after which its home sweet home for 3 months! Can't wait to go home to sunny and humid Singapore...hahaha...

4 more assignments and i'm done! Done with all the assignments this semester!

I'm bored...
